Our Pastor’s Journey…

For those of you who have been faithfully praying for our Pastor at Salem Alliance Church (Pastor John Stumbo), there is now a link on the church web site of the video that was made over a month ago. This powerful video is a journey of his life from the time he was ill back in October. The weekend it was shown in church I was on keyboard so I was able to view it five times, each time hearing something new.

The Hardest Thing to Say to Someone…

Did you know that those who appear to be very strong in heart are real weak and most susceptible?

Did you know that those who spend their time protecting others are the ones that really need someone to protect them?

Did you know that the three most difficult things to say are?

  • I love you
  • I’m sorry
  • Help me

Did you know that those who dress in red are more confident in themselves?

Did you know that those who dress in yellow are those that enjoy their beauty?

Did you know that those who dress in black are those who want to be unnoticed and need your help and understanding?

Did you know that when you help someone, the help is returned in two folds?

Did you know that it’s easier to say what you feel in writing than saying it to someone in the face? But did you know that it has more value when you say it to their face?

Did you know that if you ask for something in faith, your wishes are granted?

Did you know that you can make your dreams come true, like falling in love, becoming rich, staying healthy, if you ask for it by faith and if you really knew, you’d be surprised by what you could do?

But don’t believe everything I tell you, until you try it for yourself, if you know someone that is in need of something that I mentioned, and you know that you can help, you’ll see that it will be returned in two-fold.

Today, the ball of friendship is in your court. Share this with those who truly are your friends.

It’s time for a vacation!

It’s getting time for “get out of town for some much needed R & R”! So, I’ve booked travel and hotel img-379-imageand will be heading off to Arizona in June. Now you might ask, “isn’t that one of the hottest times to go to Arizona”? Well, yes it is but I really enjoy the warm, well, hot weather! It’s fun to be poolside in the mornings with a good book and coffee, then site see in the afternoon (getting in and out of air conditioned malls or shops). This trip I plan to take time and visit the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix. From what I’ve seen and heard, this is a must-see when in Phoenix. Each trip to Arizona has been an opportunity to explore new places (museums, galleries, etc.).

I will update my Blog and upload photos to my Picasa site (providing that I remember to take the USB cable).

Pray for our Pastor

This past weekend, we received an update on our Pastor, John Stumbo, the Lead Pastor at Salem Alliance Church. Many of you have been praying for John since October, and through the weeks following. The update was that Pastor John had “hit a wall” with his health. His energy level has decreased, his voice has decreased to a mire whisper, and his swallowing functions have still not returned. John will be going in for three days of medical treatments, with an infusion of medicine that will hopefully begin the healing process. We as a church family have been asked to pray for wisdom for the medical team(s), that John’s strength and energy levels jehovah_rophewould improve, and his swallowing functions would return to normal. God performed a miracle by restoring John’s health to where it has been. You may recall John was nearly knocking on the door of death, but in his time with us last month, “that door wasn’t answered”. We call on JEHOVAHROPHE: “The Lord Who Heals” [Ex. 15:22-26] to heal John and restore his health.

Thank you for your continued prayers!
